Guild Event – Visit to the Puppet Barge and performance

Our next British Puppet and Model Theatre Guild event will take place in London, at the famous Puppet Barge in Little Venice. Members are warmly invited to join us on Thursday 9th April 2020 at 6.30pm for 7pm, to see a performance of ‘Hanging on a Thread’ by the renowned Di Filippo Marionettes.

The puppets they use are built by Remo Di Filippo and Rhoda Lopez in their small studio workshop in Italy and the company has performed in festivals, theatres and schools in 20 countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, South Korea, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Holland, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Spain , Switzerland, United States, and Hungary.

Their show ‘Hanging on a Thread’ was awarded as best show at the festivals: Kleinkunstfestival in Germany in 2017, Briciole di Fiabe Arezzo, January 2018, In Fonte Veritas Florence, April 2018, Festival of the Invisible, Mantua, July 2018, and Belgorod Fun Kukol, Russia September 2018.

London Waterbus Company (020 7482 2550) runs a regular boat service from Camden Town to Little Venice (45min journey time).
